Lucie Maragni is an oil and pastel painter working from life — still lifes, gardens, city streets, and above all, the people and animals we love. Every commission begins with a conversation and ends on your wall.
Every pet has a particular tilt of the head, a certain look. Lucie works closely with owners — from photo reference to finished canvas — to capture that exact likeness, not a generic version of it.
A few clear, well-lit photos of your pet — more angles help capture the right likeness.
Pick a canvas size and orientation to fit your space, from intimate studies to statement pieces.
Lucie shares an early study for your feedback before committing to the final painting.

The painter behind Maragni Studio
Lucie Maragni has lived in Union, New Jersey for 35 years, and brings more than four decades of experience as a painter and sculptor to every piece she creates. She holds a BA from New Jersey City University and an MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Her work moves fluidly between figurative and abstract styles, and has been exhibited throughout New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Georgia, Washington D.C., California, Switzerland, and beyond.
Art is not a hobby for Lucie — it's how she sees the world. "I live to create art," she says. "Art to me is my life." Beyond her own studio practice, she has taught art at the college level and in K–12 classrooms for decades, and has assisted curating shows at Les Malemute Gallery in Union, NJ. She has been an associate member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society since 2011.
Four decades of formal training, teaching, and gallery work behind every commission.
